About the Company
JB Global was founded in 2002 by Jason Bannister as the trading name for the eBay shop Container Clearance Company. Due to the extraordinary success of the shop, the decision was taken to expand the company, and to that end Oak Furniture Land was created, dedicated to selling purpose built hardwood furniture, specialising in oak, mango and mahogany. Since then, the company has grown to also include Tentastic, which was acquired early in 2009.
As of 2009, Oak Furniture Land is the largest online-only furniture retailer*, with over 250,000 monthly visits, and year-on-year growth.
This incredible success (during the middle of a recession), is attributed to three things: furniture of exceptional quality, matching that of items that competitors often sell for two, three or even four times as much, incredible attention to detail, ensuring that every range is made of only the best woods, and great design.
In early 2009, JB Global acquired Tentastic, one of the Internet's leading camping retailers. Currently in the process of being overhauled, under the management of JB Global, Tentastic is expected to follow the same kind of success as Oak Furniture Land and Container Clearance Company.
